The MICROCHIP TECH MCP23S08T-E/SS is an I/O expander designed for expanding the number of I/O pins available in a microcontroller-based system. It features 8-bit parallel I/O ports and supports SPI communication protocol with a maximum clock frequency of 10 MHz. With a wide operating voltage range of 1.8 to 5.5 volts, it can be easily integrated into a variety of applications. The MCP23S08T-E/SS is presented in a space-saving 20-pin SSOP package, suitable for compact designs. It is available in tape and reel packaging for high-volume production.
