It has a built-in reverse polarity protection to protect the device from potential damage. This omnipolar hall-effect sensor also has a thermally balanced integrated circuit.</p> <p>Hall effect sensors are triggered by a magnetic field and operate as analog transducers by returning a voltage directly. These sensors vary their output voltage in response to a magnetic field. Honeywell Hall-Effect Sensor SS351AT is used in a variety of commercial, industrial, and medical applications like speed and RPM sensing in fitness equipment, magnetic encoder for building access, printer head position sensing, flow rate sensing in industrial processes, displacement sensor in hospital beds and medical equipment.</p>
